MANY USE THE BOOK OF JOB TO SAY YOU SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS
I noticed some people love to use the NIV bible and other translations when they manipulate scripture for their own personal agendas. Any other time these same people will not use those bibles because they know they have been tampered with.
Ex: King James Version doesn't say anything about a birthday, or anyone celebrating a birthday, but some other versions do. I have to think these people using bible versions they know have been tampered with are being deliberately deceptive to either their naive, or willfully ignorant audience.
Job 1:4-5 (KJV)
4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
Job 1:4-5 NIV
4 His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
Job 1:4-5 1611 KJV
And his sonnes went and feasted in their houses, euery one his day, and sent and called for their three sisters, to eate and to drinke with them.
5 And it was so, when the dayes of their feasting were gone about, that Iob sent and sanctified them, and rose vp early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: For Iob said, It may be that my sonnes haue sinned, and cursed God in their hearts: Thus did Iob continually.
Now ask yourself, what is in the heart of a person who needs to flip and flop on which bible version they use to prove a point they are trying to make. I find this extremely deceptive on their part because most of us already know these newer versions are severely tampered with.
Copy right laws require every bible in order to be monetized for profit has to have significant changes made to each version if the writer wants to be able to make money off his/ her version. If there are significant changes to each version, we do know the newer version then are way different from the older versions, and when you change the truth it is no longer the truth...
Notice in the KJV and the 1611 version, Job's sons are feasting, it says nothing about any birthdays. The reason it says "his day" is because if you also notice, they had their own houses ... Each one would hold the feast in their own house when it was his turn.. HIS DAY TO HOLD THE FEAST AT HIS HOUSE.. "His day" has nothing to do with a birthday. We see by the older versions this passage was not about a birthday celebration. We can also knock down the lie that Job cursed his birthday, but he cursed simply the day he was born (the event of his birth on that day). I know it sounds like i'm playing with words but I really am not, Job wanted to curse the day he was born, not because his sons celebrated their birthdays, as some Israelites and some in other groups would have you believe, but Job wanted to die because his children had died. Job was in mourning..
Some say Job was praying for his sons because they were celebrating birthdays. Job was praying for his sons because while they were feasting, they were also in their houses drinking.
We are warned about wine being a mocker, but we are never warned about birthdays.
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
